In going over my current recipe selections, I’ve come to utilize this cookbook for many ideas, concepts and menu planning. It was published in 2001 and remains a quality addition to both my professional and personal kitchen in that I’m always looking to it for new ideas.
With over 5,000 recipes to choose from, the editor’s of COOK’S ILLUSTRATED put together the top 400 to give you some of the best mouthwatering, lip smacking grilling recipes that crossed their desks and in-boxes.
They start you off with a wonderful introduction on buying outdoor equipment and move into grilling, grill-roasting and barbecuing and finish with flavorings. This by no means is the end all to be all in the area of grilling cookbooks, but more so a recipe collection of tried and true taste-tested recipes to get you on your way.
The recipes are very easy to follow and include comments to help with the preparation process. Whether you are a born and bred charcoal fired griller or a new up and coming infrared gas style barbecue king, this cookbook will certainly give you plenty of new ideas. There are even diagrams to assist in preparation and plenty of time saving tips to assist even the most novice of grilling chefs.
