I spent one hour today trying to find American Lamb. There is none in the San Gabriel Valley, in L.A. County, California. Everyone has new Zealand lamb, which I do not care for. Where can I buy American lamb if markets do not carry it. Hughes market in Pasadena has it some time but it is labeled Choice, but does not taste good. The legs are huge, they animals are too old when they slaughter them. What has happened to the very tasty 6 to 7 lb whole leg of lamb which is succulent.
Please forward this comment to your lamb contact and have her answer me by e-mail. When I go to Chicago I find beautiful lamb legs at an ethnic market in glenview. Next time I go to Chicago I feel like shipping a case via Fed Ex to my home so I can freeze it. Imagine, a great metropolitan area like L.A. and you cannot find a leg of lamb grown in your own country.....</description>
