BBQ Recall: Target’s Play Wonder BBQ Grill

Target Corp. announced today the recall of approximately 2,300 Scylling-produced toy barbecue grills it had been distributing exclusively due to risk of laceration from the toys.

The Play Wonder Barbeque Grill, produced by Rowley, Mass.-based Schylling, is made of metal and has an orange metal base and top with stainless steel legs and a removable circular ash tray. The circular ash tray, attached to the legs of the grill, contains sharp edges that may cause lacerations. However, as of press time, no incidents or injuries have been reported. The grill set also includes tongs and a spatula.

The “Play Wonder” logo is located on the lower right hand corner of the packaging.

The grills were sold at Target store nationwide from December 2006 through February 2007. Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed and return them to Target for a full refund.

Consumers can reach Target at (800) 440-0680 or visit the retailer’s Web site at www.target.com for more information.
