I didn't like the Char-Broil/Tec grill at Lowes because of the burner design. It looked like it has holes that would get clogged up. The design of the Char-Broil Red/Tec Grill at Lowes was better. My question is what would the experts buy, a Char-Broil/Tec or a Weber Genesis E-320. Based on everything I've read, it seems like reviewers favor Weber. I like the design of Perfect Flame, Jen Aire, & Char-Broil Commercial but it seems like no one has anything good to say about those grills.

I have now been told that with the 2007 models, you simply remove the oricie that is there, not replace it with any from a kit. I have done this, and the grill is working, but I am wondering if it is working correctly. I am hoping it is not too much gas now. I did notice a flame coming out from the back of the TEG burners..

I bought the 4 burner model (two TECs) at Lowes. I have not gotten to use it yet due to the poor support I am getting fro Char Broil for the NG conversion. ONe time they tell me the orifices only need ot be replaced for the regular burners (no TECs, not Rotisserie, and no side burner). THe directions say to replace them all. Not sure what to do. Can anyone help?

Greetings from Char-Broil. We are truly excited about our partnership with TEC and the revolutionary Infrared (IR) cooking systems featured in our TEC by Char-Broil products, available EXCLUSIVELY at Lowes. There are currently three models available through Lowes. They range in price from $699 (USD) to $999 (USD) and include two traditional cabinet models and one "built in" model. All three units contain our exclusive TEC technology and a patented Duel Fuel(TM) consumer convertible gas management & delivery system (conversion kit required). Each TEC unit is backed by a full manufacturer's warranty and support program by Char-Broil. Char-Broil does not have plans to offer these units for sale direct to consumers via our website.

Go to char-broil web page and order the complete Tec unit for 89.99. If you just need a part for the Tec unit it of course is cheaper. Not bad for a 1000.00 grill. You pay for what you get.
